Father's in the Community

                                                              Father’s in the Community
The reason I've choose this topic is to advocate the importance of father’s in the community and the benefits that it produces. Moreover, I am an active member of Community of Father’s based in Schenectady, NY, which teaches the significance of the role as a father to their children and the community in which they live in. This program is to educate our community of the importance that a father presence have in the advancement of the child, home, and community. Fathers are the foundation of the family as well as the cornerstone of any said community. Being responsible for the growth and development of your own child and the children of the community, but the most important aspect is the enhancement of the community in a hole.
Most individuals will attest that having an active father has apparent benefits to the children. Many of us have witness the effects and the profit of fathers being involved in raising a child by providing affection, provision, and well-being. We would also agree that fathers are important because they assistance in the children’s behavior and lessons in solving the problems they may face. Father’s presence serves as a role models in their children’s lives that affect how well they relate to peers and adults outside the home.
However, there has been an abandonment of responsibility in many communities by these men, who produce or create life and neglect to ensure proper education to the future leaders. We as men have an obligation to enhance our future. The reason for choosing this topic is not to look for any form of pity, however to educate the community in which I live to the disturbing effects of father's  not being present in the lives of the children that is fathered by you. It is important to build a legacy for our future generations of children who will grow to hopefully lead by example and influence others to make a change for the better of our community. As a father try to be a great role model to your children and the children of the community as well, to help motivate them to be the best they can be and know that anything is possible. I also would like for my children and others to be responsible parents when they have their own children, this process can only be learned through the activities displayed from a positive role model.
As many studies have shown, children with active participation of fathers in their lives has a preformed higher on cognitive testing compared to those living in a broken home.  Fathers who are intricate in their children's schools and academic achievement, regardless of their own educational level, are increasing the chances their child will advance from high school, perhaps go to vocational school, or even to college.

In conclusion, we as men and young men have to be more conscience in respect to the roles we choose to display to the children we father and those within that same community.

The Good and Bad About The Internet

Greetings Readers,

I'm here to elaborate my belief on the good and bad usage of the internet. To be honest,
I'm stuck in the middle the internet has many good qualities as well as it's bad stigmas. First
let us explore from the beginning, as stated in many different articles, the internet was once
called ARPANET, and was controlled by the government. After many years of work, from
the year of  1957 til 1969 when "ARPANET" the internet as it was in that time and era, was connected to computers at Stanford, UCLA, UC-Santa Barbara and the University of Utah.
Although, the potential for communication was clear, there was a meed to move files from
one machine to another machine. In December of 1969 or latter, Larry Roberts declared
success as the source of his work began to take shape.
Now, lets skip ahead a bit to what we now know as ("The Super Highway") internet.
The internet has develop into a tool that is essential to our daily lives. There are a great
number of things the internet proposes, such as, world access to many locations like
museums and libraries across the globe. There is also the idea of education, in the article
"Benefits of Internet Education" created by Irene Lui; the internet benefits a lot of students
and teachers and parents alike. The interactive learning ability the internet provides, such as,
a bridge to break the language barrier and learn different dialects. Also, Irene states,
"Parents can become more involved in their children's education by connecting the schools
with homes, libraries orother access points."
Teachers are also afforded these benefits also, being able to be as flexible as possible
to the many styles and techniques of teaching. The ability to inform or educate many
different individuals in many different areas "simultaneously." " The endless amount of
information in the Internet is at their disposal through a computer and a modem. Forget
about going to the library. This hands-on tool allows students to relate their interests on a
personal level, which is believed to motivate students to do better in school. Many
educators believe it can encourage the type of independence students need to progress in
their learning process," stated Irene Lui.
The latest news or events at your fingertips, the ability to stay connected with friends,
family, and other individuals known and unknown. Through such methods as e-mails,
instant messaging, face-time or Facebook and so on. Mathias Scriptor in his article
Cyber Communication, expresses that the internet enhances your ability to stay connected
any place and anywhere at the tip of your finger. Being able to reach corners of the earth
with a stroke of a keyboard. Mathias has said "Social networking sites have provided access
to people in every continent throughout the globe." "Also has helped old friends living far
apart to maintain a close relationship,"These are just a few good and concrete effects that
the internet provides.
However, it does contain its ideally corrupt or bad qualities as well. Just to mention a
few. Individuals do not take much time to research information any longer, as opposed to
going to the library to research the work. Instead of studying, people are more dependent
on the information contributed by the internet. Also, there is the use of deception
individuals pretending to be another they are not, stalking our love one and taking an
interest in our children for the sick and explosive behaviors.
In conclusion, I can continue to elaborate for years, months, and days about the
productive and unproductive usage of the internet. However, neat list to say we rely on
this system to provide us with experiences that have surpass our past, gives us hope in the
present, while preparing use for the future.
